On 2/14/2020 I went to your Bealls Florida Store and opened a Bealls charge card with my purchased. I live in New York but have been in Florida unable to get home since my doctor's did not want me to fly home. All my mail is in New York. I have not had access to my main in over 3 months. Yesterday my son called me to say I something from Bealls. I asked him to open it. He said I had a bill with a late charge. I called your customer service yesterday. The first rep. was rude a nasty to me pretty much calling me a lier. She gave me no information about the purchase. I asked her to wait for me to get my ledger. I told her the purchase was on 2/14/2020 for $ 4.28. She confirmed. I told her that I paid it the same time as my purchase. I said I may have paid it in cash since the amount was so small, which I usually do. I asked to speak to a manager. I had to keep asking her several times. Not sure I even spoke to a manager, but when I started telling her about my issue, she disconnected me. I called back several times still getting poor customer service. Since my new card was mailed to New York, I didn't have my account number. I was told I would be charged $9 something for a service charge for making my payment by phone. She told me to call the store directly to find out what happened and gave me the phone number. No one at that store. I asked for a complaint number and she gave me a number which had nothing to do with complaints. I called back to asked for a complaint website to be told you didn't have one. I called again and finally talked to a representative that actually wanted to help me. She took my payment of $4.28 and cancelled my card for me. I worked in customer service for years and if I ever treated a customer so poorly, I would have been fired. New Yorkers have been trained to have better work ethics. Plus if the charge was under $25.00 we were trained to wave the amount rather than call are customer's liar's and lose the customer. I have always looked forward to visiting your store. Now I only have a bad taste for your store and all this for $4.28. I am sad to say I will probably not go to your store again. I will say your store employees are very kind, not like your customer service employees. Is Bealls company that desperate for $4.28?
