Woodspring suites in clearwater fl is the worst hotel ever... First night we arrived we had a cockroach in the room. We mentioned to the lady at the front desk and said she could not do anything for us. She didn't understand why there were bugs in the room. She did not offer any suggestions on what can be done. We did not have anywhere else to go that late at night so we stayed in the room. Hoping we would never see another roach, a few days went later coming back to the room we noticed another roach on one of the beds. This time we took the roach to the front desk to show the person. He said he could not do anything until the manager comes in the next morning. We asked to have our linen replaced and the front desk person gave us the linen without even offering to have room service replace it. We even had to go back to give him the linen that the roach was on. Very poor service. We spoke to the manager and he was not a very nice person or customer oriented. He told my wife "well florida has bugs". This is the first hotel my family and I have stayed in that had bugs. We decided to cancel the remaining days left on our stay and check out that morning. I asked the manager to compensate us for the 2 nights (instead of the whole stay) with the bugs and cancel the rest of our stay. He insisted that all he can compensate us was for 1 night and cancel the rest of our stay. He did not want to discuss it any further and walked away from the front desk to avoid me. I am recommending to all my friends and family to spread the word about this place and the unfriendly manager who runs it. Customer service was definitely not a top priority for this company and hotel it run. I just glad they didn't server breakfast at this location. This is by far the worst hotel me and my family have stayed at.

I would recommend you and your company learn what the word "Exceptional" means and explain it to your people in the hospitality business. Instead of giving me a generic (cut and paste) explanation, explain to us why you will not give us our money back for the worst stay ever. Explain to us why you have a "no refund" policy and that you prefer to take our money for poor service. There were no updates to my account. I was not going to pay for the 2nd night of the recent bug experience and the remaining nights I was not going to stay. Not only have I experience the worst hotel stay but am also getting the same response from upper management. You couldn't even spell my name right!
WoodSprings Suites - hotel room
My family and I stayed at the WoodSpring Suites in Largo, FL during the week of June 23 as our house was not completed. Upon arrival it seemed to be a newer hotel or definitely recently remodeled. And the first few days were ok. There were certain things I didn't care for, like people hanging out around the doorways smoking cigarettes, weed and were loud but the brief moment from going inside to outside and vice versa with my kids it was tolerable. I wake up one of the morning to grab a drink of water and I see a roach, kill it but a little on edge but I say i only seen one. The next night my son wakes me and they are everywhere, can't get through to front desk. Overhear the next day of one of the front desk clerks telling someone saying she lives there and she doesn't have any complaints, no problems so like don't complain. So I get another room, on a different floor and in the middle of the night there are roaches everywhere there too. I will never stay there again! This experience was the worst. I've stayed at previous WoodSpring Suites and had a pleasurable stay but this was one of the worst. My gut told me to walk away and cancel when I initially arrived with the people hanging out and loud outside of the building in broad daylight. Bad experience, never again.
