Complaint:
Purchased Stone shade lamps along with $5,000 leather furniture. And the dining room table. Very high-end or the most expensive at Rooms To go. The first stone standing lamp the shade fell and broke sliced my hand. They replaced the lamp. We contacted rtg 6 days after our extended warranty was up, due to the lamp shade falling again, we were out of town when occured. Pictures to show that it fell straight from the top straight down onto a cat bed. If the cat had been there it would have killed the cat. Pictures of how the iron in between Stones does not hold the stones. Two lamps beside the couch are still up but have breakables underneath in case they fall. They said because we're out of warranty they're not responsible but we need to know about this defective merchandise before it hurts a person and or animal again. Rooms To Go has charged us off because the warranty was six days over due or past due when we contacted them. Again it happened when we were on vacation. We were on vacation when this lamp shade, a floor lamp, dropped to the floor and scared the person staying at the house and the pictures reflect how it drops straight down and it's very heavy. Rooms To Go is taking no responsibility and will not let us know if these lamps are defective so we can be wary of the two other lamps of the same exact style. It happened when it was still under warranty but we were out of town and therefore we contacted them six days after the warranty and they say Oh no you're over warranty. We contacted them as soon as we got home but they said no. But we have two other lamps that are just as heavy and they have the iron material between the stones, and we need to know what's happening and they will not help us at all. Both incidents happen with the floor lamp. The first one cut and harmed a person the second one when it fell down could have harmed an animal because it's right above the bed.

Rooms To Go - false advertisement, misleading information at time of sale
We purchased a sectional couch from RTG 5 months ago. When we were tying to decide whether to make a several hundred dollar purchase, one of THE key selling points the salesperson stated to us was that they have a new warranty that covers pet accidents. We specifically asked about cat urine, due to having an elderly cat. He said "yes, it's completely covered. First Fortegra will come out and try to clean it, and if it's still an issue we will REPLACE THE PIECE". Fast forward to a month ago, when our elderly kitty decided she wasn't too happy with the new furniture, and let us know in her own smelly way. We contacted the store, and were told to set up a cleaning visit with Fortegra, which we did. They came out, cleaned the piece, and for about a day the odor was masked with cleaning solution smell. But being cat pee, the odor came back. So, I called the store manager and explained all of this. I not only got the runaround, but also the classic pass-the-buck to customer service. I called them. They said call the store- it's a store issue. Long story shorter, I spoke with about 7 different people, and got 7 different version of their "pet stain" coverage warranty. Evidently it's only a stain if you can see it. If you can smell it, it must not be stained, and they flat out refused to make good on their warranty, despite this being THE final selling point for this furniture. This company is a sham. They get your money, and then give you a complete runaround stating "we didn't hear the salesperson say it, so it might not have happened". One woman actually said to me "a stain is something you can see. An odor is something from an armpit." Real classy. Not only will I never set foot in that store again, but I will now make it my mission to share this information as often as I can so other people don't fall prey to their misinformation, false advertisement, and bogus warranty. Avoid this store at all costs!

Rooms To Go - leather sofa and loveseat falls to pieces
I bought from rooms to go for many years but, never again. I bought a leather sofa and loveseat with the extended warranty. Shortly after a year, the leather color starts pealing all over the place on both pieces. I called and they said since it’s been a little over a year it’s not covered by the manufacture. The warranty is only if you spill something that stains the furniture… they will repair or replace but it doesn’t cover it for falling apart in under two year. Looks like crap and need to buy a whole new set. I suggest if you want to spend the same cost every 1 – 3 years… shop somewhere else. Rooms to go quality if definite fell from good quality and moderate cost to the cheapest quality and a moderate cost. With only two people in the house this shouldn't have happen.
I agree with you the company has crap furniture.
