Family Dollar

The register rings up the Bar S smoked sausage at the cost of $5.50 per unit price but the shelf clearly reads $5.00. I told the clerk that they have not changed the cost on the shelf and I didn't want to pay $5.50. She didn't ask her manager for a cost override either. They knew I was there last week and they don't care about the consumer protection act either. Since this seems to be a problem I will start going to another Family Dollar that has their product keyed into the register correctly. Also that same product sells at Walmart for $4.98 at the moment. At least I will pay less next time. The Walmart is less than a mile away. I don't appreciate their attitude that they don't know when they are fully aware that price tag in the cooler has not been changed for over 6 months. The cashier is new there but the manager isn't. I think they are flimflamming the public. So consumer beware. This store has an attitude. They don't like me because I am smarter than they would like me to be. It pays to know your rights. But they are not abiding by them. So I would suggest for the general public to shop elsewhere.
