5/10/2021 - Pre-Approved for 3.25% 30 year fixed rate Refinance- Cash Out Loan; no appraisal was required. Provided proof of income; credit report was pulled so they were aware of my creditors. Loan submitted for final approval on 6/24/2021; Requested tax returns on 7/2/2021; 7/22/2021 unable to reach current loan officer on the phone; assigned another loan officer told part of my income was never confirmed; done 7/22/201 income confirmed sent to underwriting for final approval. 7/27/2021 - original loan origination fee changed from .84% to 2.84%, I questioned that change and from that point they began requesting documents that were previously discussed; I even paid on creditor 2 payments totaling $2564.60 so that I could close this loan only to have them come back and request additional documentation. I had previously sent documentation that the funds came from my savings account and copies of confirmation pages for the payment. Today, August 3rd I realize that there was never an intention to close this loan. My rate lock expires on 8/9/2021 with .84% loan origination. I believe that because I did not readily accept the second Loan Estimate that they did not want to finalize the loan. They wanted me to take the higher loan rates.
