My name is Rocky Schultz, a very unhappy Camping World customer. So let me tell you about my shopping experience with Camping World in Byron, Ga. I had made a deal for a travel trailer on Saturday 22 July and was scheduled to return at 3pm on Thursday 27 July. I arrived at the Byron location at 2:30 and located my salesman Christopher Canion. Let me pause in my story here and say that Mr. Canion was a great person to deal with. He was very informative and was very patient and friendly. After meeting up with Mr. Canion on Thursday, I was put in a sales room and told that someone would be coming soon to get me for my orientation. I sat and waited for an hour and twenty minutes. No one came and told me anything. I finally got up and started looking around and my unit was nowhere to be found as they had said when I got there they were pulling it up and preparing it for inspection. When I came back inside and said something, I was told that they were short handed today and they would try to find someone to get my unit and do the walk through with me. It had been two hours by this time. I waited another 30 to 40 minutes and then got up and was headed across the parking lot to leave when someone I had not spoken to before came running out to stop me from leaving offering me water. I told him I just wanted to get this deal done and go home. He got me to go back inside and about twenty minutes later a young man from the service department came and got me and took me to my unit. He very briefly explained the highlights of the RV and said he had to go. I went back inside and Zach the finance guy said "Wow that was the fastest orientation he had seen". I then sat at a table in the lobby for another 30 minutes while everyone except for Zach was in the main office cubicle shooting the bull I guess. Finally, after a little more than three hours Zach called me into his office to complete the deal. Since this time no one has reached out about anything. When I called and spoke with Matthew Hall, another finance employee that I made the original deal with, sounded really upset like I was the bad guy for getting upset with them that day. I don't know who is running that place but I'm not impressed. They need to remember that there are a lot of other choices out there. Mid-state RV is just across the street, but I chose Camping World instead.
