Good Afternoon, I would prefer to keep my name out of this but I am the spouse of one of the workers that work at the centerville location in warner robins. Today my fiance tried to inform his manager Michelle that he isnt feeling his best and would like to be able to take today to go to the doctor and rest. In return his managers argued with him through text and even talked in all caps to him. This is unacceptable especially when they let others no call no show without reason or repercussions. I work in the health care field and never once has a manager or supervisor disrespected and disregarded my physical or mental health. Literally sitting here telling him that because someone else is sick and is currently there he needs to come in. Last I checked in the food industry you are not suppose to come in if one you do not feel good including if your running a fever due to the fact your customers can also in return catch whatever you have. This manager is also threatening to make “changes” to his schedule if he does not come in today he has been in and out of the bathroom at least every 20 minutes and feels he is going to loose his job all because he doesn’t feel good.
Desired outcome: I would like managers to understand that if a worker is not feeling well they are able to call out without facing repercussions because they are sick.
