I had a 4:20pm appt at the McDonough, GA location and was told to sign in and handed a pager. I asked how long the wait would be and was told 30 mins! I stopped in the vestibule because it is 86° outside and was told the manager said we had to wait outside! So, 40+ mins later I go inside and was sent to a computer to get a message that said I do not have an appt for the current time! Really? It was over 40 mins past my appt! They reset it and by this time I am very upset. Now I go and wait in a long line to have new donors walk in front of the line (yes, I know this is usual but when you have been waiting so long, hot, and thirsty it is not ok). I get to the blood check area and went through the whole process to be told I answered a question wrong and have to go wait once again and there were 3 others ahead of me and they only have 2 nurses. I asked the manager why I had to wait so long and he said my time is not an appt but a schedule! Really? My app says differently and so does the staff when they ask we what time my appt is. I finally get to a donor bed an hour and 10 mins later to wait once again. And here I sit at 6:06pm... waiting! There should be some way you all can contact the donors that are "scheduled" that the location is behind and allow us to reschedule before we drive 45 mins to donate! This is absolutely ridiculous and I will not be back!
Desired outcome: For some common courtesy and a better way for donors to be contacted
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
