This will be my second attempt to file a complaint about a very unethical experience. I had to visit that store again and it is my understanding, that the employee who attempted to sell me a set of tires I didn't is still there. I take it that I must not be a valued customer, after all. I filed the first complaint the following week after the incident, (8/21-22/23). I came in to have my tire pressure checked because I was travelling the following week. I first went to store (GAA19), on August 17th and the young man who was checking my tire pressure told me my tires were so bad, I should buy new tires, or I would most likely have a blowout. I asked him, how is it possible that my tires could have gone bad, despite my keeping them balanced, rotated and the proper tire pressure? he skated around the question and I still had 20,000 miles on my warranty. August 18th, I came back. This time the same person waited on me again, we went out to my vehicle and he checked my tread depth. Once again he was deceptive, he told me my tread depth was 3.25. We went inside and he showed a chart where 3.25 meant I needed new tires and based on my warranty, he would give me a deal. After he came up with the cost, I asked him to print that out. He said he could do that and so he wrote it on blank receipt paper (I still have it). When I came on the 19th, that person had the day off. I asked another young man to check my tread depth. I didn't mention being there the day before or the other person. He checked my tread depth and showed me it was 6.32, it was 6+ on all four tires. He said my tires were fine. I was at the store on 10/21. I had a screw in my tire. I asked the guy who came out to inspect my tires, what was my tread depth? Three out of the four, were at a 5+ and one was 6+. That person's name who was being deceptive was Chad. He was a young white guy.
Desired outcome: I can no longer do business with discount tires if this is how business is conducted and you continue to keep such people in your employment.
Discount Tire - tpms sensors
I took my car to the Hudson Bridge location to have 2 sensors changed on the front tires. On my way home my abs light came on along with the esc and check engine light. I called and they said to bring it back. They asked me to take my car to autozone for a diagnostic printout. The person who worked at autozone said that he received multiple complaints from customers who had the same problem. This happened a week ago on the 21st of September. They said that someone would contact me in 24 or 48hrs. Never heard from them. I need my car repaired today. I'd also like to say I drive a hyundai sonata and the sensor that they choose to put on my car was for a Toyota. Who does that
Desired outcome: Repair my car today or provide me with a rental unit my car is fixed.
