Red Lobster - Service in Sioux City Iowa

Sioux City Iowa, store number 0547. Date was December 27, 2022. Time approximately 5pm to 7 pm. Check number #22471

Arrive and were told there would be a 5-10 minute wait. We were seated and shortly after that my diabetic monitor alarm went off alerting me that my blood sugar was dangerously low. I went to the young man who had seated us and ask for a couple crackers. He left and came back and ask if a couple bisquits would be ok. I said I didn't care, just needed something quickly and that a cracker would be ok too. He came back about 5 minutes later and stated there were no bisquits ready (which because a problem the entire night) and I again said a cracker will work. He returnd a while later with a little cup of croutons. At this point I was near passing out. I ate the croutons. It was awhile more before we were seated and I ask the lady who seated us for some crackers. She brought them and stated our waitress would be with us shortly. We waited and waited a long time before our waitress finally came to take our drink orders. At that time we were informed there were no bisquits and it would be awhile but she would bring us some when they were ready. We repeatedly heard this as she went from table to table, no bisquits, no bisquits. We have been behind on buisquits all day. It was quite a long time before she brought our drinks and then a long while before our order was taken. I ask for my salad to be brought right away, it was, and after I ate it my medical crisis had passed. Now we waited for our food to arrive, and waited, and waited. Finally our meals were servied and looked very good, BUT I was informed that my baked potato was not ready and would be brought out later in 5-10 minutes. Really? I was served my Flounder and Schrimp, but had to wait for my potatoe? Well I didn't want my flounder and shrimp to get cold so I ate it while I waited for my potato and when my potato arrived I ate it. Very, very poor service. My husband and I consider Red Lobster a treat and love going there when we want something special. I would be reluctant to go to this resturant in the future due to the poor service we received and the lack of caring when I told them of my medical emergency. A cracker given to me when I ask would have averted the crisis immediately but instead I had to wait, and wait and wait until I was nearly ready to pass out and then given some croutons. I just needed a simple cracker.

The meal cost over $60. with tip and in these trying financial times, that is a big splurge for my husband and I. I would really liked to have been treated like our business was important to you and that you cared about your customers. We are very disappointed in Red Lobster and will consider it long and hard before was make the decision to go back or not.

Thank you for your time...

Desired outcome: I will leave that up to you. A redo might be nice.
