I was deceived into signing a personal training contract. I was shown two options, one for 6 months and $240 and the other for one year I believe. I requested 6 months though it was never explained or at all clear that this was $240/mo. When I required on why I was being charged a second month, they informed me that I had signed a 12-month contract for $240/mo! I was stunned and asked to see the contract. They had difficulty printing it out and when I saw it, it was clear to me that this was the first time I'd ever seen the page that said 12 months at $240/mo. I realized then that I was asked to sign an electronic signing pad which is apparent from the electronic signature. The actual page was not never shown to me. I had to initial in several places but I did not see the page being initialed since I was carrying it out on the signature pad. I was not concerned at that time because the Director and I had discussed what I requested in detail. I was deceived into signing a contract I never actually saw.
Not only did the Director hear me say 6 months, the associate working in the adjacent desk heard me say 6 months.
Claimed loss: 6 months $240/mo
Desired outcome: I would like to have my contract reduced to 6 months
LA Fitness International - Cancellation request was unfairly denied by regional vice president
Today, I received a follow up phone call from the Operations Manager at my gym located in Hyde Park in Chicago stating that the District VP Jermaine Jones approved my cancellation request but he was overruled by the Regional VP Joe Jacobs who did not even request the cancellation explanation reason from me nor did he honor the agreement I had with the enrollment specialist Romaine and the District VP Jermaine made on 12/4/2021 to have the option to cancel for any reason and especially if my financial status did not change which I provide proof upfront and via email. I am at the end of a Federal Lawsuit for Wrongful Termination for Disability Discrimination, Age Discrimination and Retaliation. Jackson v. Humana (1:18-cv-02413), I am also being sued for credit card debt Case NO. 20 M1 113360, I have not paid rent since 8/2020 and was granted Emergency Rental Assistance under the COVID-19 Cares Act.

Desired outcome: I will like my Personal Training Membership Cancellation Request Honored and my Refund of $200 for the last debit that occurred within the 90 day
