I visited the DSW store located in Fairview Heights, IL. JUNE 25th. 2020, first time shopper. I found two pairs of shoes for my son's upcoming wedding. As I was standing in line to checkout, I was motioned to checkout in another check out lane. During the sales transaction a problem occurred, I was than told to check out in another lane. On July 2nd. it was discovered both sales transaction was deducted from my checking account. I returned to the store asked to speak with a store manager, I had my checking / bank statement as proof both sales transaction was charged to my account. The store manager Names JOEY informed me this was a computer error and was nothing he could do. He informed me to contact the bank to "dispute" the charges. I contacted the bank on July 2nd. and explained to them what happened. I also forwarded emails to DSW customer services. And again I am told their is nothing they could do. Again I called the bank on July 7th. And again the bank will dispute the charges. The error occurred inside a DSW store during a transaction by a DSW employee and yet their is nothing they can do. I am owed a refund of 102.90 The bank informed me this could take up to 10 days. I feel the mistake was made by a store employee the first transaction a problem occurred during a sales transaction the transaction was not complete, voided or cancelled. But I was charged twice.
