I was an employee at circle k and worked the overnight shift for them. I had never missed a shift before and when I did try to have someone cover my shift when I was sick I was told no by my manager! I would have to call her in the morning on numerous occasions because she didn’t show up for her shift to relieve me and she was mad at me for waking her up! She finally showed up 2 and a half hours later! When our schedule came out and she was scheduled for 6am not once was she there at 6 or even close to that time ever! For a manager to be consistently late and then when you’re running late it’s a problem. Now she’s started to lock the door on me without even telling me about it even after she was aware and the employee was fine. When I started there this manager would intentionally pick and choose employees to sabatoge and would deliberately push them out and then give the silent treatment to them while cutting their hours and bad mouthing them. When new employees start she immediately plays favorites and will act unprofessional as a manager to other employees to make herself look “good” by acting all big and bad in front of the new employees and belittling them in front of customers. This manager does what she wants to do even locking up to go home! When you “get on her “bad side” you’re given the “silent treatment “ and you’re alienated by her and she makes sure to make your life miserable while at work or make up her own rules for you and no one else but you and she will be cold towards the employee to the point of finding reasons to fire you for the same reason even her own self is guilty of and other employees who do the same thing. I was literally just “terminated” for being late not even 35 minutes and I had informed the employee that was on I was running late and would be there shortly and they said okay but when I got to work I was locked out and no one was there and when I messaged the employee about it they said they were told to lock up at 10:30 pm if I wasn’t there by then and then never told me they had locked me out of the store and when I got there at 10:35 and I wasn’t even informed by anyone and when I tried to call the manager I was ignored by them and not given a reason why they locked up when they knew I was going to be late and was okay with it until I got there and I tried to get in. I was locked out by my manager when she said she would cover me for a few hours but she decided to leave and not tell me she locked me out for the night because she had a “dentist appointment “ in the morning and she was even starting a medical leave for 5 days that morning! When I never ask for anything from her and work my shift’s even when i’m sick because she can’t “cover” my shift so I have no choice but to work and then she doesn’t show up for work the next morning until 8 am! The morning person is late every morning and so is the manager but when I asked for her help I was treated unfairly by her and she just locked me out without a reason and never informed me. To treat her employees differently is wrong and even the assistant manager leaves early and customers complain about his attitude towards them. Both of the two in management are not fair to employees but pick and choose who they like. My manager even said that she makes sure no one gets unemployment from her ever and she makes sure to write the right words to make sure that they don’t get unemployment from her at all. For a manager to single out certain people is wrong and unprofessional for any work place. To be treated inappropriately by her for being late twice in which I informed them and when the morning person and herself are always late is not good management for a company. I hope she gets what she deserves to for being a poor manager
Desired outcome: Reprimand manger for being unfair and treating employees with disrespect
