As a former pizza Hut employee [protected]), I am very disappointed in the service we received on December 22, 2018 from the pizza hut located at 905 East Rand Road, Ste 600, North of Central Road, Mount Prospect Illinois, with the order number - YOUR ORDER - 3181222184153001402034089
On December 22, 2018 @ 6:40pm I made an order on line of 2 pizzas, 4- 20 litter bottles of pop and 1 order of chicken wings. In the process of receiving our order of food that arrived cold with the boxes wet due to condensation at 8:55 pm we were lied to several times, and when I requested a refund, I was told several times that our food was almost here. I believe the first person I spoke to I only spoke to once. The second person I spoke to gave me the name of Gabby and told me that I could speak to the general manager Delilah later the next day. I have not spoken to anyone since.
1. 6:40pm: ordered pizza = webpage promised pizza with-in 25-35 minutes
2. 7:42 pm received an email stating, "Thanks Rebecca. Your order will be delivered on DECEMBER 22, 8:00PM"
3. 7:45 pm: I called and was told that pizza was delayed because of large order from Walmart and that they were sorry but it would arrive in 20 minutes. (this reason was told to me several times through out the next 2 hours)
4. 8:16 pm: called to find out where pizza is. I was told pizza left 20 minutes ago and will arrive hot and fresh. When I explained that I was told that before I was told that she would get back to me. She called back quickly to tell me the driver had to fix his tire, then told me that she didn't believe him.
5. 8:27 pm: called to locate pizza. I was told that pizza left 20 minutes ago and will arrive in 20 minutes (NOTE: I live 2 miles from the store)
6. 8:55 pm pizza delivered cold without the pop ordered, the box was wet with cold pizza inside. The wings we ordered in a squished (most likely from being hot and cooled from time) container. I asked the driver when he left: He told me he left the store 2 minutes before. I asked the driver if he had a flat tire. He said he did not.
7. 9:05 pm: called back to let them know pop did not make it here. I was told, "you are getting the $50 credit, so…." This left me to assume that the pop would not arrive. I asked for my money back and I want the pop we ordered. She did not confirm that the pop would be delivered. She also accused me of taking pictures of the driver's car. That would have been impossible due to the fact that I met the driver inside our very large apartment building with-out my phone or camera. I never received my refund.
8. 9: 15 pm: pop arrived. The driver looked very harassed and upset.
In my 50 years I have never had such bad customer service.
I was told that I am being given a $50 credit. I do not want this. I will not order from this store again. I want my money back. This could have been prevented by communication and the truth. Obviously, some of the staff hired at this store do not possess the ability to be honest.
I look forward to gaining my refund ASAP.
