To whom it may concern,
I would like to bring attention to my experience on February 18th at the Skokie, IL location of Jewel Osco. I went pick up a birthday cake and 2 large pans assorted fried Chicken that had been previously ordered on 2.14.23 scheduled to be picked up at 1:00pm. While driving to the location I received two missed phone calls from an employee’s personal cell phone telling me that the order is ready and that I said I would pick up 11:00am, at the time I didn’t think much of the hasty nature of the phone until I reached the deli. I approached the counter and asked an associate in the deli for Candy, an employee on the other side of the deli yelled out “she went home”, the tone of voice indicated panic as though my son and I were unwelcome. An employee that was helping another customer pointed to where our food was, as we began to reach for our food that was sitting in the warmer where the whole chickens and other premade fried chicken where for the public to grab at the convenience and continue to shop. When I reached to grab our order to put in the shopping cart the employee that pointed out the food, she began to talk to us as though we could not touch anything and she insisted that we had to wait to until she was done with another customer to actually engage with the products being offered; although she had previously showed us where our order was. I began to reach for it, her demeanor became abrasive as though she was dealing with a thief. She began to yell that you have to “pay first, you have to pay first” the employee didn’t want us to go to the bakery located directly across from the deli as we began to walk to the bakery! An unidentified woman came out of nowhere and snatched the cart from my son and demanded we pay first. I went to pay while he got the cake from the bakery. The bakery did not ask for us to pay first! This is clearly racial profiling! That is not the the first time an incident like this has occurred!
Desired outcome: New management at that location! And termination for all employees involved and management as well! The shame I felt in front of all of those people, they were smiling and pulling out phones!

If I can give this Jewel 0 stars I would. I was shopping for flowers today with my elderly mother. Saw a bunch of boquets of roses and was searching for perfect one. Saw mom wandering away and placed the boquet on top of flowers. Keep in mind it weighs nothing its just flowers. I hear someone yelling in the background put those flowers back into water and you broke one of the stems. I looked to see if someone had the nerve to speak to me that way. Look again and its an employee on the phone lol telling me off. Im a customer how dare she speak to me that way and I did not need to put the boquet back into water as I was planning on buying it. I asked her how dare she command me what to do. I dont work for her and told her off. Then I had some creepy pervy Arab that looked like he was going to blow everyone up tells me an option to either buy flowers or get the hell out of the store. No clue who he was. Asked him if he was the manager but he was starting to threaten me. Should have called the police and filed charges against him. Called the manager and reported this rude employee at the flower section of the store. Manager did not offer apologies nothing. Next tomorrow will be report to the corporate lets see how rude you guys will be next week. I dont work for you. If you are having a bad day get over it its not customers problem its yours. Put on a smile during your shift and be appreciative that you still have a job in this lousy economy.

I bought the 8 PC. Special fried chicken today from Jewel on West Galena I, Aurora, IL today and found it is undercooked later in the day. This happens frequently..apparently they have new deli workers who don't know how to fry the chicken. We were told it was to be breaded twice and that hasn't happened in quite awhile. But aside from that, it's also still pink inside.
