I visited jewel osco pharmacy through the drive thru on December 3rd 2019. I picked up my prescription for my hydrocodone/acetaminophen 90 count like I do every month without issue. There was an issue with the insurance so I pulled into the jewel parking lot to contact my doctors office and I looked at the bottle that was inside the bag that I was given and it didn't look as full as it normally does. When I counted the pills there were only 77. So I drove back around to the drive thru pharmacy and the pharmacist took the bottle and came back and told me their counts were 100 % correct and preceded to tell me that she wasn't going to give me anymore . I let her know I wasn't asking for more. I told her I've never had an issue with the count before and now I'm short. So obviously there's a problem and I was dismissed. My issue is someone in that pharmacy is taking medicine they have no business taking. This is medicine that I take for chronic back pain . This is a serious problem. From now on I guess I have to go inside and have them count my medicine in front of me, Which I will most certainly do. Such a shame I was treated like it was my problem! Hopefully whoever is helping themselves to patient's medicines is caught and prosecuted!
