I was checking out and had forgotten my membership has expired last month, I had made it all out & left it at home as we are given a reward coupon good for your membership. I only had enough cash with me for my purchases I believed not to pay the full amount for the renewal and my goods. The cashier was rude and unaccommodating to my dilemma, she said either I pay or she cannot let me shop, end of story. I left the cash register and went to the customer service desk and they of course had a solution (we drove over 100 miles)-she did have 1 solution-just go back home & get your coupon! The desk clerk told me to tell her not to remove my stuff, she was fixing me up with a AMEX card, etc, which did take some time, in the mean time another lady came & whisked all our stuff off the belt "I can't have my register just sitting here" she told my friend & that they would have to take me down & I would lose my membership & all kinds of misinformation. When we got that taken care of & went to another lane to check out the next cashier even though nice told me I could have separate receipts but really they were only allowed to do 2 not 4! I am paying to shop at this store! If I want 100 receipts I should be able to get it! I am what keeps this place going THE CUSTOMER. It is ridiculous. This was the first time my friend was in the store, doubt if she ever wants to return again, not a good first impression. Not very well trained cashiers, she didn't even know or just didn't want to tell me I can at a later date bring in my rewards coupon & they will cash it out. She didn't tell me or didn't know I could open the AMEX card & still make my purchases, no it was just get through here & get on with MY JOB because I am the MOST IMPORTANT THING HERE LADY. It is a stupid cashier job, not a life saving surgery or something! What a disappointment this day.

I agree.. also that people should be more aware of other customers but that is not the point? The point is that the cashier is not trained well and treated her with a rude and "you mean nothing"type attitude. The receipt thing is stupid. Why would you only let them do two receipts. Brain dead stupid bad customer service costco!costco person that made this rule use your brain rule serves no purpose. Every reason i have got is bs.
