On Nov. 12, 2013, 6:02pm CST, I stopped here to fill up on Premium Shell gasoline. It was cold and windy, so I put the automatic fill-up latch on the pump so the gas would continue to pump and fill my car. The latch did not stop (automatic shut-off) when my tank was full, and the gas poured out all over my car (and me) and the parking lot area. I was on Pump #5. As a result, I was over-charged approximately $10.00 for the fuel that was pouring out of my tank. I went inside to report this to the attendant, who was not initially available and not at the register. When he came up, he told me that there was nothing he could do since I was not standing right there at the pump. If I had been standing there, I would have been drenched in gasoline when it spewed out from my tank. Actually, it would have been much worse of an accident if I had been standing right at the pump. The attendant did not offer to pay for a car wash for me, nor to wash off the gasoline puddles that were now in Lane #5. He did try to tell me where a car wash was located. Is there not something Shell can do to repair this problem or force this station to maintain its' pumps and keep them in good working order? This is an accident and a lawsuit just waiting to happen!
This Shell Station Speedy Stop is located in Iowa, LA, right off of Interstate 10 on the South side of the Interstate.

In one story HE claims the gas poured all over her, in the second story HE claimed HE did not know the gas was pouring all over because HE was in the car. Then again you do not know the difference between he and she so no wonder you misread this.
What do you mean it doesn't add up? She was in the car and once it started spewing gas, she got out of her car to make it stop. What was she expected to do, sit in her car while gas was pouring out? I agree with the person who is posting..the associate should've offered something for the $10 worth of wasted gas.
This story does not add up.

So did you get gasoline all over you or not? You know they have their own lawyers and if they find you are putting their company to look bad for a few bucks you will end up losing.
