My family and I checked in on 17 JUN 19 at 1730hrs. Upon entry to the room, we noticed dirt on the cover of the bed neareast the window. Upon use of the water in the room, i noticed that it smelled like soil, and also tasted the way it smelled. The water in the room would not get hot so I reported it to the front desk. I was told that I should turn the shower on as well as the sink and the water should heat up...sure enough, it did 10 minutes later. Upon entering the shower, i noticed that the tub was stained/ unclean and found long strands hair on the wall of the shower and in the tub, after I exited the shower, I went to use a towel to dry off and found long hair rolled up in the towel. Upon further inspection of the bathroom, I noticed numerous strands of long hair on the walls all of which made me and my family feel S if the room had not been properly serviced.
The next morning (today 18 JUN 19) I went to use the fitness facility and found that a portion of the ceiling that I noticed had fallen the night before was still in the same pla ce and that the roof/ vent leak was still present. The water had formed a puddle on the floor and was actively leaking on one of the electronic steppers. There was a water cooler in the room but there were no cups, the floor was not cleaned/ swept as there were areas that had caked dirt and there were no sanitary wipes or spray in which I would be able to use to wipe down the equipment after use ( I am aware that the staff cleans or should be cleaning the area but I am sure that the frequency of cleaning is not done after each person exits the fitness room) which leads me to believe that cleaning is not happening. The facility manager should supply cleaning cloths/ solutions to allow each visitor to the fitness facility to wipe down the equipment immediately after use. I asked for the facility manager at 1800hrs and 0900hrs and was informed both times that she was not there. All of the above mentioned points are unacceptable and should not be encountered by any customer at any point during their stay. The facility staff should be observant and responsive. Moreover the fa ability manager should be present in the facility at 0900hrs. This experience has tarnished my thoughts of LAQuinta and Definately makes me rethink use of any Wyndam properties during my travels. I will also post the photos that I have to social media mediums if my post goes unresolved.
