Our company uses paycom for recruiting, hr, benefits, time-off approvals and all those modules are great, we really like them. The employee app is really great too. However, our cfo is requesting that we find another payroll company because paycom takes forever to file our payroll taxes. This causes delays to our month, quarter, year close by almost a month. Every other system our cfo has used has filed the payroll taxes and generated reports within 2 weeks of the payroll run. Paycom takes 6 weeks. Why? The reports are not accurate until after the taxes are paid and often the paycom reports will even be different each time you run them... Minutes apart. Payroll tax filing and reporting are the heart of any payroll system. Why are these areas of paycom so inferior. Also you are not allowed to speak with anyone in the tax department, so it takes a week or more to get answers with customer service reps as the intermediary. We were told that the tax department reps aren't tax experts so that's why we can't talk to them. Our payroll company should know the payroll laws, we shouldn't have to research and tell them the regulations. We have escalated these issues to customer service manager who said that's just how it is... And to our local client relations managers who came onsite and actually attempted to sell us additional modules. They had no interest in addressing our complaints. We will sadly soon be a former client.
