Moe's Southwest Grill - Moe’s southwest grill burrito on moe’s monday.

My beef burrito was made wrong. They added lettuce when I can not eat lettuce. I have dysphasia (difficulty swallowing). When I took a bite of my burrito, I choked on the lettuce. My PCA had to give me the Heimlich maneuver to dislodge food. I called and asked the shift manager to remake my order. He asked me if I had an allergy to lettuce. I said that I didn't but I can not swallow lettuce and I already choked on the lettuce they put on my burrito. The shift leader named "Wally" (?) said they could not deliver another burrito because it was moe's Monday. I asked to speak to a manager he said I would have to call in the morning. I said calling in the morning is not going to get me food to eat tonight. He said that's the only option lady. He continued to refer to me as lady despite my asking him to call me by my name and stop being disrespectful. I asked for manager to call and asked for her name as well as district manager name. He refused I insisted. Finally he said manager would call me tonight. The manager miss Adrianna Espinola (last name obtained from spam screening app) called. Apparently moe's manager and district manager don't have last names? I asked her for the district managers name. She said she thinks his name is Raphael. She said I would have to reorder through the moe's app and then she promised that tomorrow she would refund my money. I asked her to send me confirmation of intent to refund. She refused saying I promise I will do it tomorrow. I said I don't trust you. I want to be able to eat tonight. I need you to put your intent in writing. I had already almost choked because of her staff not being able to follow directions. She did not put it in writing. I have paid for this burrito with lettuce that nearly killed me and the moe's manager can not refund the money or deliver a new burrito. The shift leader thought that this was funny. He was laughing and said he didn't care that I couldn't eat now and I could have choked to death due to their incompetence.

Hi Fedup!

I have read your note about your issue eating a burrito. I have never heard of someone being unable to swallow lettuce but being able to swallow beef, rice, chips, tortillas, etc. Are you sure that you're chewing your food thoroughly? When I was a kid, I was told it was supposed to be 23 chews before swallowing. I'm sure that I don't actually do that many today though!

It sounds like the store did not have delivery drivers available when you demanded one though. I'm sure you understand that they cannot give you something that they don't have.

I see that this note is from today, maybe try taking smaller bites so you can enjoy the burrito tonight!
