Have been a long time customer to this location and really haven't had any reason to complain, but since the return of indoor dining, everything about the place has been terrible. The staff has very poor social interactions with me and other customers. Staff working the register the speaks and comprehends very little English. Constant repeating or trying to explain my order. Walk into the restaurant and no one at the front to greet and waiting like 5 min before someone even knows your standing there. There is a mess and there is like 4 or 5 people at most in the place. Salad bar is not chilled and is very gross. The counter not being wiped down. All the staff is constantly congregating in the back corner of the kitchen. I have come in on a number of occasions and had to ask for silverware because there was none set out. I have seen pizzas fall to the floor from the oven because no one was manning the station. A fire alarm went one day and a mom with 2 toddlers ask if she could get the food to go because the noise was scaring the kids. The staff and manager showed no compassion and told her the company policy about taking food. The mom walked backed in and ask for the name of the manager, but the manager refused. My most recent complaint is the free buffet offers I have redeemed. "FREE" as in no charge. First one was my free birthday buffet. I was charged for my drink and my buffet was discounted but not free. The 2nd time was the free buffet through the app where I earned a free buffet, but the same thing happened again. When I repeatedly kept arguing with the staff why I was being charged so much. Their reply was because I had to pay for my drink. I told them a drink doesn't cost almost $5. Their reply was taxes.
Then try to play dumb like that don't understand me. If a buffet is free, I shouldn't be charged. That is false advertising. If it's going to be discounted, then the price should be quoted.
Miss the old staff pre pandemic. At least they actually cared about the places they worked and reached out to the customers. They were constantly in motion and cleaning. Never remember seeing dirty tables for very long when people left. They were respectful to the customers and acknowledge when people came in and when they left.
Now it's the opposite. What is even worse is going into a place and they don't even understand simple English related to the job, not even the manager. My personal feeling is fire this entire staff and hire the teenagers from the high school and a management team that actually makes it feel good to be there. I have lost all respect from this place, including the diversity that once was here. Now it all Hispanics that try to play dumb when confronted with problems.
Desired outcome: still like to be reimburse the difference of my free buffet
