Roses Store, Salisbury, Md on 1/15/2023, 11:05 AM. Went to return one piece of luggage that was purchased December 16, 2022. The cashier who identified herself as the manager was very rude and argumentative. She asked for the card that I purchase the one piece of luggage with, tag was still attached and the receipt was presented. She stated the money had to be returned to the credit card I used which I didn’t have at the time. I drove 62 miles one way to return the item to be told I would have to return with the card. When asked if it could be returned to another Roses she continued her rude, unprofessional behavior as she continued to be raise her voice concerning the return must be accompanied with the card. This doesn’t state it in the receipt just that it needs to be returned within 30 days. I asked if she could just return it to the card without it being present and she said no. It seems that with technological advancements this store would be able to perform such transactions and it would hire employees that have better attitudes and be more customer oriented. I will reach out to corporate again concerning this matter and their manager on duty today.
Desired outcome: To be able to return the luggage without conflict. To be reimbursed for the gas I spent coming and returning a 2nd time which will total 124 miles.
