On December 18, 2020 at approximately 0730 I was at Tim Hortons drive thru located in Presque isle, Maine. I witnessed the vehicle in front of me receive a bag of food and shortly after the customer handed it back through the drive thru window to the employee. The vehicle then drove off. I pulled up to the window and was handed a bag of food that I suspected to be the same one handled by the customer in front of me. I asked the employee if it was the same bag handled by the previous customer. She informed me that it was. I told her that I would not like the bag that the other customer handled. She had very degrading body language towards me and said "he only looked through the bag". She only offered to put that same food into another bag. She was extremely rude and unwilling to listen to my concern or ask how she could make me happy with the service. I took the bag and left. Obviously uncomfortable with food handled by someone I know nothing about and during a pandemic this was an even larger safety concern. I then drove to the nearest trash and discarded the bag of food. So I paid for food that was unsafe to eat and was belittled by your employee for simply wanting safe and friendly service. I am a front line worker and with the pandemic I see how easily this virus is transmitted. Who knows the customer in front of me may had been a nurse just finishing a 12 hour night shift caring for covid patients like I had.
