My mother was shopping at our local salvation army and she took a soap container she accidentally pushed the top and the container leaked old soap into her eye. The damage was not severe but she had a very irritated eye. What gets me is that the manager and the staff of the location waited around 15 minutes to offer her any form of medical attention and at one point the manager got very hostile with my mother and was yelling at her because she didn't speak proper English it wasn't until I got there that she had calmed down. I demand satisfaction my mother has always shopped there and never had any problems with the people there they either need to be trained or someone needs to be terminated.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate if the manager there would get more training on dealing with situations like this and to actually check donated containers because it could be worse next time.
The Salvation Army USA - Current employee
One employee is very rude all of the time and very disrespectful to all of the Hispanics . Ive even aquired signatures from numerous customers that have had an issue with the same worker. They also pull colors tags that are on sale for that week . And ive noticed employees shopping during work hours . Numerous of times ive seen employees take up to two cart loads out to their vehicles during work hours and theyre not shopping from the floor where everythings on sale they pull the carts out from the back rooms
Desired outcome: That the employee changes her attitude and they shop just like everyone else and not get first picks on things that dont even get the chance to hit the floor.
The Salvation Army USA - Co-worker
Hello, I am an employee at the salvation army family store located in Detroit, MI, 48209. I feel uncomfortable working around one of my coworkers. She yells at me, embarrasses me in front of customers, has me doing both of our jobs and she is not the manager. I feel taken advantage of. Her tone of voice and words used are offensive and not very polite. I feel I should be treated the way they'd like to treated and talked to in a polite manner.
Desired outcome: Work on separate shifts
