My mother and I purchased furniture along with Montage, Inc. protection plan from Exclusive Furniture (at 21000 Gulf Freeway Webster, TX [protected]) on March 5, 2022.
On March 18, 2022, We sent a certified letter along with the Exclusive Furniture sales invoice , and the “Original” and only Montage Inc. Protection Plan agreement that was provided to us at the time of sale requesting a complete cancellation of the $299 protection plan and full refund.
At the top of the Montage Inc agreement it says “Agreement Number: FFMACTBR” and at the bottom of the Montage Inc agreement, it says “FFMACBR-1016”. We sent all of this to Montage Inc. 4035 Park East Court SE, Suite 300 Grand Rapids, MI 49546. As stated in Number 4 (“Conditions”)- Section G (“Cancellation”) of the Agreement Number: FFMACTBR, “You may cancel this Agreement for any reason at any time. In the first thirty (30) days You will receive a full refund upon cancellation. To cancel within ten (10) days of receipt, contact the Selling Retailer of Your Agreement for a full refund. After ten (10) days, contact the Administrator (“Administrator” means Montage, Inc.) in writing with this Agreement and a copy of your sales receipt to receive a full refund.”
The certified letter was received and signed for by Montage Inc. on March 24, 2022. Yet, Montage, Inc. is refusing to refund our money. We have provided absolutely every original document/agreement/sales invoice that was given to us at the time of sales at Exclusive Furniture when we sent everything certified mail. Montage Inc. is still refusing to cancel and refund the cost of the $299 protection plan. We have filed Better Business Bureau complaints against them and they are still refusing to refund my money. All we want Is for Montage Inc to please cancel the Montage Inc. protection plan agreement as requested in the certified letter and refund our money, $299. We provided any and all original documents that were provided to us at Exclusive Furniture at the time of sale. This is fraud and a scam on the part of Exclusive Furniture Webster and Montage Inc. They are saying they didn’t receive original documents but that is a lie. We provided any and all original documents that was provided to us at the time of sale at Exclusive Furniture via certified Mail which was signed for and accepted by them on 3/24/2022. I have proof of their signature. We are simply requesting cancellation of the Montage Inc Protection Plan and full refund of $299. Again, this is complete fraud and a horrible scam on the part of Exclusive Furniture Webster and Montage Inc. Avoid the protection plan at all cost because they refuse to allow cancellation.
Desired outcome: Cancel the protection plan and refund the full cost of $299.

Montage is saying they didn’t receive original documents but that is a lie. We provided any and all original documents that was provided to us at the time of sale at Exclusive Furniture via certified Mail which was signed for and accepted by them on 3/24/2022. We have proof of their signature. If an original document was not provided to us at the time of sale, it is the fault of Exclusive Furniture and should be rectified by Exclusive Furniture to Montage. We provided any and all original documents that we were given to Montage. Avoid the protection plan at all cost at Exclusive Furniture or anywhere else you are offered a Montage protection plan because they refuse to allow cancellation as what’s written in their agreement. If they won’t stand by cancellation, how can you expect Montage to stand by anything else that is also written? This is a huge fraud and horrible scam on the part of Exclusive Furniture Webster and Montage.
Montage Furniture Services - Non responsive since early 2020

We purchased a couch and love seat from Ashley Furniture in Sept 2017, bought the 5 year MFS Protection Plan.
In Sept 2019 we found the faux leather cracking and splitting. We reach out 2019 and were told they were backlogged, we were told they have our complaint and will get back to us. We were "In the Queue". They did not provide a claim number at that time. By early 2020 it was they could not service us because of COVID. Now it is pushing 2 years. IF we can get ahold of them... it is still they can't because of COVID.
We have Emailed them and we get, they are backlogged because of COVID. We get back "We have received a huge surge in new claims resulting from the C-19 shutdowns and that has worsened delays in several areas of servicing, including the availability of parts and furniture, especially from Asia. We are doing everything we can to get everyone taken care of as quickly as possible and we expect to be back to our normal service standards soon. In the meantime, claim processing is taking longer than usual and you may not hear from us as quickly as you, or we, would wish.
You are in our system and will not be forgotten, and we will get to you as quickly as we can. In the meantime, thank you for your patience as we work our way through this highly unusual situation."
We have Filed a Claim on their web site, and it can not be found. We filed another claim "PM1655970-21A" recently/
We have tried at least once a month to get in touch with them. We have emailed them pictures, left voice mails. Now they don't even pick up the phone and their Voice Mail is full.
Per Ashley Furniture, they are still selling warranties, but have no other association with them and claim no liability to help resolve this.
The cracking was so bad it was painful to sit on the couch, so we had to use an ugly patch just to be able to sit without being stabbed.
Desired outcome: We desire for them to honor the warranty or replace the furniture as described by the sales person who sold us this warranty.
