Without Prejudice:
I am writing to discuss the extremely unethical and discriminatory non-renewal of 4 families at this park.
On the tail end of Labour Day weekend, seasonal guests were taking their garbage to the dump bin located at the front of the park. The park manager called on 4 families to meet her at the office and handed each of the 4 a letter of non-renewal for the 2021 season. When the manager was questioned as to why the occupants were not being renewed, the manager wouldn't give a reason and just kept stating "You are not being renewed for the 2021 year!"
My family as well as our friends (all with young children) were shocked, dismayed and heart broken! None of us has ever received any form of verbal or written complaint from the park in the 5+ years we have been occupants. We always pay our fee's, keep our sites clean and have done work to enhance our sites.
We have made several friends in the park and our children have called our trailer their second home. Not only were we given non-renewal letters but, we have also been told we are not allowed to sell our trailers in the park! My family was sold a 2005 Fleetwood 40' trailer in 2016 yet, at the time, we were not given any indication that there was a 10 year rule for selling trailers in the park. As a young family, we can NOT afford to pay thousands of dollars to have the trailer removed. We over payed for our trailer in order to obtain the water view site. We are in a global pandemic which caused lay off's, anxiety and added stress yet, the park manager seems not to care in the least. We feel discriminated against due to the fact the manager picks and chooses which rules to enforce and whom they are applicable to! We have been followed by her, we have observed her hiding in driveways with her lights off, spying on campers and overall disrupting the peacefulness of the setting. We have been spoken to very unprofessionally many times and have been walking on egg shells all season. We are paying customers and should be treated as such. We have several good faith reference letters from other seasonal occupants. We haven't slept since we received the letters, some of us have had panic attacks, our children have been crying, we are depressed, anxious, sad, confused and TORN! How can one person shatter our vacation dreams for absolutely NO reason after everything we have already endured with the current pandemic.
Due to this unwarranted termination, there are now dozens of seasonal occupants terrified about leaving their site or enjoying their time because they are afraid of being kicked out. How does SUN feel about this? Is this how you want YOUR customers treated? Is this fair practice? Are you okay with the horrendous reviews your organization will receive?
PLEASE resolve this matter with the park manager and ALL four families at Trailside RV in Parry Sound Ontario
