I took my prescription in to be filled, I brought in my current glasses, one with the bi-focal line and one without because I wanted to make sure it was put correctly. When done I asked it be quoted back to me only to find she ordered the lined bi-focal when I clearly told her no line bi-focal so she had to re do it. Then I asked her about the bi-focal and she said: “I put it as low as they would allow” I said NO that’s too low (because on the no line in the past that was done and it’s too low) I said you need to match what I brought in, she ignored me and again said she put it as low as they would allow, I was getting irritated. I corrected her again and said don’t put it there expecting her to listen. When done me asking to read back what everything said she again said it was put at the lowest. I said then you will have to redo them when they come because that’s too low..
Sure enough when they arrived it was wrong, the guy said yeh it’s lower than what you brought in. But worse was when I put them on I couldn’t see out of them, it was blurry & everything was in a half circle totally distorted, I said you put a prescription in on the upper lens it’s suppose to be NO PRESCRIPTION, he said it’s the plastic they used. I said then you need to correct it I can’t see out of this lenses.
I got a call from the manager about an hour later telling me if I wanted it corrected I’d have to be charged for it. NO they screwed up they did not give me the glasses as prescribed. She was rude, uncooperative and kept cutting me off everytime I tried to talk, she was yelling at me so I hung up. She just wanted to argue. You can’t reason with some people they just want to argue.
My insurance has called her 3 times telling her to refund since I could not see out of the glasses and she refuses. The insurance agrees that it’s billing fraud. They were paid for glasses with bi-focal prescription only and NO CORRECTION in upper lens. I should have been able to see exactly the same with the glasses on as when off since upper lens should have been clear.
The insurance company said they have never run into this situation before where a supplier wants too charge a customer to make corrections on something they did wrong and refuses to refund when they didn’t make the glasses correctly. And again told me it’s billing fraud since they charged for a service they didn’t complete.
The plastic they used for the upper lenses distorts the vision, it is not clear, all my glasses from other companies in the past have clear vision with no prescription in the upper part.
You need to call this store and force them to refund the insurance so I can get my glasses done elsewhere. This store manager is dishonest. If glasses aren’t made correctly then your suppose to redo them till done right especially for what you charge but this dishonest manager refuses and then tells customers that the customer will have to pay for correcting, that’s dishonest since the store failed to provide what was already paid for. It’s also greedy, dishonest and fraud. Perhaps this manager needs to be replaced.

Desired outcome: The store manager needs to refund the insurance company and me so I can take my prescription to a different company. I need glasses I can see out of not ones they made wrong.
