I recently had a terrible experience at one of your Popeye's restaurants, specifically 992 Goodman Rd W, Horn Lake, MS 38637.
- I walked in and the young girl at the register was not very welcoming. She said, "The lobby close." I asked what she mean, why, etc. and the only thing she would say is, "The lobby close." An older lady came out and told her to take my order.
- I had coupons and I wanted to place three separate orders. She said, "Only two coupons per order." I explained that I wanted to place three separate orders and after some grimacing and disapproving facial expressions, she finally got it and took my orders.
- I stepped back to wait and 7-8 other customers came in. After several minutes of arguing and more disapproving looks from your employee, orders were placed.
- During the next 10-12 minutes, three people who came in after me received their orders and left. I went back to the register and asked about the delay. The girl looked confused, asked for my receipts, took them and disappeared. Several minutes later the girl and the older lady came out to tell me that I had been told that I had to wait for spicy wing and leg. I told them that no one told me anything about a wait and I did not order a wing and a leg, I ordered strips. I told them I would take regular.
- I stepped back and again waited more than 10 minutes while three more people who came in after me received their orders and left. One of the people who came in after me decided she did not want to wait any longer and asked for a refund.
- I finally, after more than 40 minutes, got my orders. I went home, opened them, and again was disappointed:
- The chicken sandwiches were mashed all out of shape and were cold. I opened them and found the smallest amount of mayonnaise, a smear about the size of a quarter. One small pickle slice per sandwich.
- The chicken strips were underdone. I bit into one and some strange colored liquid came out, partly grease and partly I don't know what. The strips were also extremely, distastefully salty.
- The French fries were limp and greasy.
- The red beans and rice was very bland, tasted like no seasoning at all.
I spent $32.10 on three meals that were inedible. I will never return to Popeye's.
