On February 24, 2020, My husband and I arrived in McComb MS and later discovered that he had left his medication in Chicago, IL. He drove to the Pharmacy very excited because this happened to my father while visiting Chicago and the service was taken care of very professionally. When he arrived at the drive up he was told he would need a prescription from his provider. I contacted the DPM provider and was told that this is usually handle be the pharmacy to contact them. The nurse said she would enter a prescription for February 24th but still contact Walgreens. I contacted our local pharmacy in Chicago who told me that the pharmacy in McComb should contact them. I contacted the Pharmacy in McComb and told them about the incident and they told me at first they did not see the prescriptions entered for today. After carefully searching the Walgreens Computer she located it. She told me to give her 30 minutes and the prescriptions would be ready. I waited an hour and went to the drive up window to pick up the prescription. When I got to the window the Pharmacy Technician told me that they did not have a prescription for my husband to go to the one on Delaware and they would. I went to the one on Delaware and they said we do not have a prescription for you. She checked the computer and told us that the prescription was on Marion. She also stated that they had filled 3 prescription and 4 prescription were being processed. Ask for the Pharmacist on duty, Brad? and he would be able to assist you. When we went back the Pharmacy Technician greeted us and he said you are back. I told him what the person I spoke to on Delaware had stated and he said okay. He said hold on a moment. A big guy was standing behind him looking at the computer, she spoke to him and he told him that he did not see it. The Pharmacist never acknowledged our presence. I told him the Pharmacy Technician on Delaware said it was in there and also the person that I spoke to earlier said she was filling the prescription and how long it would take to fill the prescription. The Pharmacy Technician told me to wait a few minutes. He returned and told me that they found the prescriptions and I would have to pay $76 for one of the prescriptions and another for the other. I told him that there must be a mistake. He went back to the man behind him and conversated with him and came back and told me to give them 10 minutes and they would have the prescriptions filled. I droved off. When I returned he had filled three prescriptions. One of the prescriptions he gave 9 months supply and the other three 90 days at the cost of $6.00. We asked for 12-14 day supply enough for our vacation stay in McComb. We contacted our son at home and he Fed Ex the other prescriptions because we did not want to be greeted again by the Pharmacist with the bad attitude who represented Walgreens. For the sake of not naming a name, I request you check out the prescriptions for February 24th, 2020. All the names should be documented. Please let it be known the Pharm Techs were very friendly and kind. Through out all the back and forth these people did the best they could. The Pharmacist was very, very nasty. He never said sorry, I apologize, I want you to know we are working on this. His body manner denoted a very mean demeanor. I contacted the customer service by telephone and spoke to a Customer Service Rep who said someone would contact me. I received a call from an automated system that asked how would I rate the last person that I spoke to and the last person that I spoke to on the telephone was very nice but the Pharmacist on Marion needs more customer service training. Today this me but more who knows. I hope you will look into this and not sweep this under the rug because this person represent Walgreens and there are many more pharmacies to patronize.
