August 18, 2023: Cracker Barrel in Morganton, NC. Arrived at 4:21pm and immediately got seated. A six minutes after us, another couple got seated and a waitress went straight to their table and took their drink orders. A few minutes later another couple got seated and a few minutes later another two couples got seated. Now there are five couples in the restaurant, including us and everyone is getting waited on except us. I wave over at the hostess and she dismisses me. After 23 minutes, 4:44, we get up and ask to see the manager. The hostess said, "let me see who that is". A few minutes later the manager came out, her name is D.J., she asked what she could do and I explained to her what I explained to you. She stares at me like a cow looking at a new gate, saying nothing. Finally she says; "Oh". A very intelligent answer. I stand there and wait to see what she will do. Will she say; "I am so sorry that happen, here let me sit you over here and we will get you taken care of immediately. NO, she does not. Does she say;"Let me take your order and we will give you a free dessert. NO! She say our waitress is in the back cleaning. Why would that be my problem? So we left. Incompetent. I believe you need to send your regional manager over to this Cracker Barrel to give the entire staff lessons in paying attention to customers. Did the other waitress see us and go inform our waitress she had a customer? NO, Did the TWO hostess go tell the waitress she had a customer? NO! Whoever put D.J. in charge needs to be reprimanded and place DJ back in the kitchen washing dishes. My wife and I frequent the Cracker Barrel in Hickory quite often and love it. The staff in Hickory are top-notch. The manager at Hickory knows how to run a business. The person in charge in Morganton does not. So, I will ask you, what are you going to do about the non-existent service we received at the Cracker Barrel in Morganton? FIX THE INCOMPATENCE!

Desired outcome: 1. Have your regional manager meet with all the employees and go over customer service.2. Put DJ, the manager back washing dishes.5. Refund me the amount of my time waisted in your restaurant waiting for food that I never received.
