Hello Smart style / (DBA Regis Corporation),
I am contacting the company due to poor service for a customer that was not satisfied with the hair cut and customer service. I visited the salon at the Walmart location called Smart Style by Regis Corporation on
December 31, 2019 at 4:15 pm. The stylist by the name (Lalita R.) was cutting a young mans hair. I asked could I get a hair cut for the new year? As this was very important to me to have for the New Year 2020. She stated that she had another lady waiting and asked me to have a seat. I waited as did the other customer. After completing the mans hair she went up to the register and rung up the man taking his money; then she returned to the chair and started on the layered cut for the young girl with brunet long hair. After finishing she went up to the register again taking her money. These was very quick cuts only to the front of the ladies hair. Alright now time for my service for a hair cut; it was around 4:35 pm ish. She asked me to wait a minute and went to ring up someone on the register that wanted to purchase items from the store paying with a credit card. She explain that it will take a moment; I said alright. I explained the type of cut I wanted and she said; "Yes, I do that type of cut all the time". My hair was in a small bob length and plenty of hair around my ears and on my neck. I asked her to take a little off and she shaved it off around the back and ears; leaving me with a mess, cutting the top in 3 different lengths. I am truly disappointed and unsatisfied with the cut and service that I received at Smart Style by Regis. She knew that I was not happy; she started saying that she was late and had to go meet her family for dinner at the Mexican restaurant were she live. She asked for the money and I gave her $20.00 at the register, she told me that the hair cut cost $17.00 before. She did not give me no change or receipt. I should have never been charged for the hair cut because, it was not complete or satisfactory service. She started gathering up her stuff stating; " I'm late and you can come back on Tuesday, and Reginald can fix it for you he is one of the managers here. I express that I am not satisfied with this service and she was locking the gate to the facility; then walking down with me continuing to say, " it will be fine and he will fix it for you or give you your money back, because he the only one that can do that." I have several people say me getting this hair cut and the condition of it, I also had to go get it cut shorter due to the several lengths. My hair is 1 1/2 inches on the top now and and less than an 1/2 inch on the side shaved. If I wanted this type of cut i would have asked for it. I stopped back by asking the person in charge for my receipt and management information so I could contact the home office due to this issue. This is when I talked to a lady with the gray wig name Lonnita (management fill in) she told me that it was not in the system for me having service since May 2019. She also showed me the computer that it was never enter and to ask if this was my correct telephone number under my name. I said, "Yes". Ms. Lonnita explained on 1-9-2020 at Smart Styles that she would let the district manager (Tammy) know of this issue so she can help. I stopped back by the store on 1-10-2020 to ask the manager Reginald on duty if this was reported to Tammy. He listened to the complaint and explained that he would call the district manager to see if he can refund my money back and if she was informed of the problem. He called on his cell phone the lady Tammy and she said she did not know of any of these issues going on. Reginald was trying to explain everything to her; I asked to talk to Ms. Tammy and she seemed to have been frustrated and upset of finding this problem out and not been informed. I can understand this; but not being rude to me as the customer was the best approach. I am the customer and patron to the salon receiving service; I didn't know that these issues was going on with this employee. I have had great hair cuts from other stylist there; unfortunately they are not there now, and that is alright. I trusted Smart Style by Regis to provide me with service I can count on, and this was an horrific experience for me. I really don't appreciate giving my money to an organization and it be taken and used for another reason. It is as simple as me issuing this complaint and would like a full refund of my money; no I can not get my hair back this will take time to grow. Please help in this matter as this salon is struggling in Roxboro NC. You are welcome to correspond with me by email and if you can provide a number I will reach out to you via telephone. I am not comfortable in giving out my new telephone number as I have given out my money and no good results.
* Bottom line my hair is cut off and money missing from the corporation I ask for services from as a patron.
