Woodforest National Bank - Employee theft and cover up

An employee at the Woodforest Bank in Waynesville, NC decided to steal my brothers identity as well as several other customers. This all occurred in November 2019, it is now March 2020 and the bank still has not resolved the issue. All accounts are on lockdown. The bank has not replaced the money stolen, over $12, 000. Now they are wanting to let the employee get away with a slap on the hand. The claim that if my brother will sign a form not seeking charges against this so valled woman, then they will expedite the paperwork amd replace what has been taken from him. However, they are dragging their feet and basically being useless. The bank is trying to cover itself for hiring a person they were advised not to do so due to a questionable past. Untrustworthy would be a huge understatement!

They are playing games with people's lives and livelihoods. Why should he or anyone else sign a legal document stating they will not seek criminal charges against a thief? Someone is covering for this person because she is related to them, or they are covering their own butts in order to prevent admitting guilt and being held responsible. Why is it in this country that a bank is allowed to lie, cheat, steal, and cover up fraud? Thia bank has repeatedly proven they do not know how to run a bank, vet an employee, or resolve an existing issue. Of course, they are trying every way possible to not admit guilt.

Fortunately, my brother was smart enough to get a lawyer to handle this mess. They have reached their time limit and are in for a HUGE lawsuit. Had they just admitted their mistake and taken the necessary steps to fix it this could have been avoided.

I even know someone who was hired by them last year. She has veen given a lot of information on their practices. She ia looking for a new job as I type. She is also willing to testify about their lack of compassion, responsibility, and victim blaming. What a bunch of useless, hateful, [censored]ic imbeciles! I thought about opening an account, but after this disaster there is no chance. I have even told everyone I know to move their accounts before they are the next victims. Do not bank with them. It's not worth the stress.
