Made a stop at Marshalls to make an exchange. My mother was poorly assisted by a racist older woman named Stacee. While trying to exchange an item for another item of a larger sum, my mother used a gift card to pay the difference. Stacee printed out about 7 receipts in which you can tell she either confused herself or messed up and had to redo it. Which isn't the issue. Within the 7 receipts, my mother simply asked for help in trying to understand the remaining balance of the gift card. Stacee replied, "its there, do the math and you'll see it."
Now. Was she rude, yes very. That still isn't where the problem really lies. My mother is looking in the receipts to "do the math" and Stacee then rushes her to move and THROWS the bag at my mother. At that moment, I then told her it wasn't necessary to throw the bag and she then responded with, "HAVE A NICE DAMN MA'AM. Go learn english." Stacee's poor customer service is not only inappropriate but also ignorant and inconsiderate. To add the cherry on top, all other employees watched and went about their day not feeling a need to intervene on this distasteful behavior. Which then as we were walking out, Stacee CONTINUED with she didn't need this job, it was her part time job, and could care less about what further happened.
The customer service was by far the WORST customer service Ive ever seen. The kind that you see go viral on the news and social media. My family have been loyal customers for 18+ years. This negative experience will have us reconsidering our shopping options next time. A response from management is VERY necessary and we will make sure to warn friends and family about the disgusting service Marshall's of Union has provided us today.
