To whom it may concern,
My name is Jimmy A. Zubiate. I come from a military serving family with over 100 years of service, from father to brothers who have also served. I work at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.
I'm currently supporting a US Army/Federal Government mission in the Northern range of WSMR. I'm on government official business, staying in Alamogordo NM.
Purpose of this email is to inform you of the racist and discriminatory employee you have at your store, located at 657 S White Sands Blvd. This entire week I've been visiting your store and each day is worse than the previous day. I try to give the benefit of the doubt each and every single time, reason for continuing to visit this convenience gasoline station. I've noticed how the lady front cashier, working the early mornings (0445-0515am) during April 27-30th of 2020 treats other white complexion individuals with kindness and respect. She does small polite conversation, adding words of endearment through out her conversation. These are complete strangers being greeted kindly with respect. I on the other hand, every single chance she has, keeping an eye on me, instructing me time and time again of her rules in her store. Even though I've walked into the store with an N95 protective surgical mask, doing my part to maintain social distancing and to minimize the spread of germs, she's there to instruct me that I'm unable to fill my Coffee thermos inside her store. There's a sink next to the coffee station where I've seen other individuals use for their coffee mugs and Thermos. I don't see why I can't and other can. I do happen to have darker skin complexion. My mother is of Mexican decent and my father of European/Italian decent. Both are American citizens enjoying their retirement. My father served our nation with 35 years of military service.
Besides the clear difference of treatment, in her demeanor and personality, I've been continuously charged more and more each time for coffee. First go around I was charged for an XL coffee. Then I was charged for a Thermos price. Then charged for two XL coffees. I'm not asking for any special treatment or favoritism. I'm not in search for getting a deal for coffee. All I'm asking is to be treated fairly, equally and with respect. I may have brown skin complexion but I surely have sacrificed for our great nation and continue to offer my services. If there is such a thing as earning the right to be treated fairly I think I've surpassed that quite some time ago. When I couple your employees rudeness, lack of respect, distinctive negative demeanor, correction and price inconsistency I am beyond giving the benefit of the doubt for today is Thursday of this week.
She is wrong and I've been treated unfairly and I kindly with respect ask for you all to do something about it. This is a One Nation and not a nation of small mindedness. I'm including my contact information right below. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
