Today is November 22, 2020 to the time is 5:47 PM I just went to the 99 on Warm Springs and eastern in Las Vegas Nevada. I was checking out and I specifically asked the manager to please let me know if anything‘s over $.99 that I’m ringing up and when he rang up the celery he said it was 2.99 and I showed him a picture of the price that it says which is $.99 it doesn’t have no pricing for 2.99. I had told him that you guys don’t have no price for 299 and he said well it’s not it’s 2.99. I told him you guys should put a price because that’s false advertisement. He started getting loud while he’s talking to me almost yelling while there was a line. So I started getting upset because he’s pretty much yelling at me. I started getting loud back telling him why are you yelling at me. Then he has the nerve to lie and say that I’ve been there before and I’ve done this with shampoo when I’ve never seen this guy in my life it was my first time ever seeing him. I was so upset that this guy is lying to me and saying that he’s seen me before when that’s 100% false information I’ve never even bought shampoo from the 99 and I’ve never seen him in my life. I was livid at that point how dare him lie just to save face for the people in the line so that he can turn the story on me instead of taking responsibility as a manager. At that point he was even trying to kick me out of the store and not have me purchase my items. When I told him I was going to write him up that’s when he let me purchase my items. I have never been confrontational with anyone in my life I am always so nice with everybody but this manager got me to a point where I was so upset I called my husband down to get out of the car because I needed him to witness this man’s behavior. My husband ignored him and just listened in so that he can see that I’m not alone. I have never had anybody lie to my face and say they’ve seen me before accusing me of complaining about some thing that never happened. This man should be fired I have never seen this in my life and I will never be going back to that location in my life. I’m a regular shopper at the 99 on a daily basis with so many different locations and I’ve never experienced this bad horrible customer service. He is the manager his name is Mike. I don’t go to that location often but At that location I have only seen two people that I have checked out with. Which is a very nice Asian woman and the other one is a young boy with glasses. Never in my life have I seen this guy Mike and he was lying saying that he seen me and yet he said that so many times and that’s what made me so livid how dare you lie. I told him don’t lie I’ve never seen u before in my life and he continues saying him lie over and over. This is unbelievable. I will never go to that location I don’t understand how you can have someone like that working there. Worst customer service in the world.! I have never even made a complaint because I’m always friendly with everyone but this manager made me so upset because he was so rude and he kept lying over and over so that he tries not to look bad after what he did. That should never be ok to Treat customers that way. You guys should look at the footage in the store on the camera.!
Desired outcome: He should be fired.!!!!! I would never want somebody to be fired but I truly believe he should be fired.!!!!

I have had similar experiences. Prices of items are misrepresented. Many items do not even have prices indicated on the shelf. Some of them even though they have reduced price tags on the shelf, but the cash registers were not updated properly in a timely fashion with this new price and ended up getting charged the same old price. It happens frequently so much so that it makes me wonder if it is a ruse to try enticing the customers buying the item but still make them pay the original price.
I usually discover these discrepancies after returning home. This has happened several times for me. I tried to reach the manager of the store on the phone to bring these issues to his/her attention. But the call usually goes to a checkout cash register person, and I am asked to call back another time to talk to the manager. I have been over charged many dollars so far due to this misrepresentation of prices. I am at loss as to how and to whom to properly lodge complains. Should I call Better Business Bureau?
