My family and I checked in the La Quinta at 3970 Paradise Rd.
around 11:00pm 7/12/19, The elevator smelled of cigarettes at what we thought was a non smoking hotel. Upon entering the room that smelled of Marijuana and cigarettes, we couldn't get one of the TVs to come and had to call someone up to fix it. Most of the appliances were unplugged, the light switches are wired extremely poor, one next to the door turns off the TV which is across the room, the same problem exist in the bedroom as well. That weekend in Las Vegas was extremely hot and we were all awaken by the heat of the morning because the 2 air conditioning units could not keep the space cool enough to provide comfort. When it was time for our showers, the pipes made loud humming noises the entire time of our 5 showers. Also, the bathroom sink it would not drain, and had a bad odor coming from some plumbing in the room. The sink near restroom would take up to 10 minutes to drain a very small amount of water.
To top all of this horrible stay off, was one of the staff and janitor came to the door of our room and demanded entrance, accusing us of smoking MARIJUANA, I allowed them entrance and they found nothing, My family and I immediately left your establishment after requesting a refund for un stayed days and was denied that request. This was our children first visit to Las Vegas and our stay at the La Quinta made it very uneventful, we checked into the Hard Rock Casino up the street and was able to salvage some of our trip but changing rooms to a different hotel took away from our trip by almost $500.00 and we don't think what we paid to stay at the La quinta was worth it in any stretch and would like compensation. Thank you for your time and we ask that you look into the claims above, I would hate for anyone else to have to endure what my family did last weekend.
