Chelsea Giordano, a Patient Relations Manager with Americare NY, texted my husband out of the blue, he's never spoken with her. Chelsea told my husband that his mother, who lives in Westchester County NY and is elderly, was absolutely in need of financial help. Chelsea said if my husband didn't call her by the end of the day and allow her to help with a Medicaid application for his mother, that she would call Adult Protective Services on my husband. She specifically said on my husband.

Initially, we thought this was a scam, and someone was trying to scam my husband. But when we called the number from the text, it was a working number, with Chelsea Giordano's name on the voice message and Americare.

We discovered Chelsea Giordano of Americare had acquired my husband's name and number from a company called Eldercare. After my husband and his mother stopped using Eldercare's services and informed Eldercare that they were going to use Medicare's part-time aide service going forward, Eldercare referred my husband/mother-in-law to Chelsea Giordano of Americare without his knowledge, consent and/or need.

Chelsea Giordano Annabi has been highly lauded by Americare NY for her rapid expansion throughout the Westchester area. Chelsea Giordano uses tactics of threatening elderly residents of the area and their families with adult protective services if they don't give her business. What's even more disturbing is that she's allowed to do so.

Companies like Americare use govt agencies, like Adult Protective Services, as their own personal mafia. They enlist them against elderly people (the same people agencies like this are supposed to be helping).

Sadly, people like Chelsea Giordano, whose sole purpose is making a buck or two off of government agencies like Medicare and Medicaid, are encouraged to exist in this profession. Please don't encourage them or their companies by hiring them. There are plenty of other companies/options recognized by Medicare and Medicaid.
