United Dominion Realty Trust [UDR] - leasing management in the columbus square

I wanted to complain about behavior of Jacqueline Thomas Assistant Manager. in Columbus Square New York. The management failed to inform me on time about service elevators maintenance when I scheduled my move 3 weeks before coming to NY. I accidently found from doorman that the day I am moving service elevator will not work, but as I have few things to unload they suggested to use on of the regular elevators. Rescheduling moving services I am facing storage expenses of additional 400$ dollars that is not my fault. I tried to talk about it with Jacqueline Thomas Jacqueline, Assistant Manager who was so incoherent, ignorant, very rude and disrespectful. She sounded like somebody working in TJ max or McDonalds. I think this is not acceptable from staff in prime rental location in New York City. It will make people breaking leases and move. If I do not get any reassurance that it will not be the same in the future I am thinking to break the lease and leave.

There is a company called UDR that rents apartments all over the United States. I have lived there for the past nine months. My lease is up on April 3, thank goodness. I had dealt with a screaming child that runs and beats on the floor 24/7, the downstairs apartment renter beat on the ceiling and banged on my front door threatening me for the first five months. The security gate doesn't close, horrible dog poop everywhere, the dog park has had no water for the past five months, they charge and give you an eviction notice if your rent goes past 15 days the first of the month, even under circumstances that caused an error in your checking account, send it to an attorney that destroys your credit, so much more but to top off this lovely experience yesterday I received an actual email from the district " manager" Jennifer Charbonier informing me that the five emails I sent Sabrina, the office manager at the MacAlpine apartments in Dunedin. Florida telling her I was not renewing my lease, my roommate also send emails and stopped in personally to tell her directly we were not renewing our lease, that wasn't good enough! Jennifer didn't return the 7 phone calls asking her to please call me. The customer relations person in Denver also avoided calling me about this, they both emailed me saying I had to print an intent to leave AFTER my lease was up April 3, get it notarized, send it to them and after they accepted me leaving, I would get put on a 60 DAY NOTICE and could vacate the apartment then, only after they inspected the apartment for damages, inventory, etc...

I'm furious, I have a bad knee, my unit is on the second floor, I cannot carry groceries up to my unit. I am moving in a house on April first, even understanding that the three days in April I WILL be charged for! Now they are saying I cannot legally leave until they ACCEPT my 60 day notice to leave in writing! I wrote five emails to Sabrina but it goes through their own BS system by an SMS message system and there is no record of my emails! This company Ned's to be exposed! I'm writing this review entire story and sending it to you and many other TV stations in Tampa Fla. along with new media in the other cities they rent all over this country.
Please contact me if you are willing to do a piece on UDR. The social media sites have all been contacted and I will continue to get this message to anyone that will listen. I was never told I had to respond in writing and yesterday while traveling out of Florida, Jennifer the district manager never called me back but wrote emails informing me about the notary and a 60 day wait time!

I look forward to hearing about other renters that have had this same experience with UDR
