I visited the Hoosick branch with intentions of opening a business account. A Teller welcome me to have a seat while she notified a platform associate of my arrival. I noticed a young woman standing in the same seating area. She approached the Teller desk and Christina joined them. Christina was so loud stating if the client didn't stop using profanity she would have her leave. Stating it was not her fault the account had issues. I personally could not hear the woman's complaints and only noticed the tension when Christina made her outburst. I continued to wait in the area and after another 15 to 20 min. Christina came storming out of her cubicle again. She obviously was not notified I had been waiting and asked loudly "are you with her". I told her no and it is not wise to bluntly assume in a profession setting. No Hi how are you, no customer service whatsoever. She sarcastically asked another gentleman hey are you two together referencing the same woman again and returned to me asking is that fair? I take it because of race she assumed this was my concern, very undermining and simple. I was more appalled by her lack of professionalism stating she is having a bad day. I told her that is hers to own and deal with and politely requested her to conduct herself better while opening my business account. After a few nonchalant and aggressive remarks she asked again what kind of account do I want to open? Anger blinds many of us and has no place in a professional institution. I left without opening my account and am reluctant to return. From someone who worked in banking for years, please hire more mentally tough, genuine, non-biased, and passionate people.
