My wife and I hired Rite Rug to replace quite a bit of flooring on our 1st floor. We were moving to a new home and the house was empty for them to do there work. We wanted the flooring done before we moved in. The flooring went in the 1st week of November 2019. They ended up bringing the wrong transitions for archways from our study and dining room into the foyer and hallway. We were told that they would call and reschedule the install of the transitions once they had them. After the crew left we noticed that there was a warp in the center of the new dining room flooring. We also noticed that the trim around the archways was 1/2" above the new flooring and looked very odd. Rite Rug is suppose to be the experts in the field of flooring and should have recommended adding to the sub floor to raise the new floor so that the new flooring would not look so odd because it was so much lower than the ceramic tile it paired up against or the trim around the three archways. I spoke with customer service about the issues and reminded them about the transitions. They scheduled a quality inspector to visit our house to look at the defect in the dining room flooring. The inspector relayed the information of what needed to be done and what type of transitions they needed for the archways. Within a short period of time, they called and scheduled to repair the floor and install the new transitions. They did repair the floor but again brought the wrong transitions. I received a call from there corporate office today (2-25-2020) stating that they had decided to take no further action to resolve the horrible installation. Again, they are suppose to be the experts at flooring. I was told that the salesman that initially made the onsite visit to measure and view the installation had no way of knowing how low the new floor would be compared to my existing ceramic floor or my trim casing. I was also told that I could pay extra to have the floor done correctly.
