I previously owned one of the original WaterBoss units from the 1990s and was very happy with it. I now upgraded to a WaterBoss 900. My water is discolored after every regeneration. Hardness test is 12, Iron is 1 and this unit can't handle it. Customer service isn't worth phone call. They needed no further information and said there is nothing wrong with my unit I just need to install an Iron pre-filter. When I asked why I didn't have this issue with my previous WaterBoss softener I was told my well water changed on the same day as I installed the new unit. I will now buy a softener from a real company that stands behind their product. I was told there is no warranty on the softener's ability to filter or soften water. There is only a warranty on parts, buyer beware. Live and learn.
Desired outcome: Please refund, I would like a response.
WaterBoss - Don't provide, service, help yourself!
I am a 70 years old disabled senior with an intestinal condition that requires to consume the purest water available.
I spent $500 dollars in the WaterBoss plus almost $600 to install it. It means to me a full month of income since given my health condition I am in low income.
It stop working 2 months later. WaterBoss customer service refused to help me. They don't provide service to their units and you must "help yourself". (they only guide you through)…with my disabled condition it was an impossible task and they didn't care at all! Their attitude is totally nasty and indifferent! Rude and malicious!
I wasn't able to return it. It was already installed! I couldn't afford to pay again just to remove it! BE AWARE!
If they abuse the elderly and disabled figure out what they can do with others in better position!

WaterBoss - Pro plus 380
I own the Pro-plus 380 for 16 months. I Sent in the warranty card and followed all mfg install recommendations and called in a professional to hook it up. Has not worked correctly from day one apparently. I have a carbon filter and whole house filtration hooked up prior to owning a water softener. Called customer service on several occasions due to ongoing issues with brown water after regeneration since I have owned it from day one. Supervisor Ricky apparently tells me I don't have a carbon filter installed, I would invite him down to Missouri to take a look. Customer service from the very beginning has been no help. Had to rely on a out of town water softener company to take care of some of the issues this water softener has had. Customer service started out ok this last 3 days until all the troubleshooting has failed and they then realized it's the media which they want me to pay 150 to 200$ to ship this to Ohio and back. Paid 500$ for this unit 16 months ago and it's shot. Should of lasted 10 years by the way they talked about how superior there products are. I bought this mainly as well as being made and assembled in the USA. If you want a company that will not stand behind there products and to have continuous problems go ahead and buy a water boss. For a American company they sure have a attitude, disrespectful, will not stand behind there products. Go to amazon, google, Facebook and type in waterboss. I'm just one out of many complaints of bad service and bad products this company has.
