On friday, november 27th my mother purchased an element roku tv online from meijer in ontario, ohio. She has copd and during these times has been encouraged to do her shopping online. When she placed the order, the item showed as in stock, enabled her to choose a pickup day and time (so I could go and get it for her), and provided her with a confirmation number. I have one of these tvs and since I was picking one up for her, I went ahead and bought one too. Two days after the purchase and 1 hour before the pickup time. We received phone calls stating that even though they took our money and confirmed our purchase, they sold our items. Please do not buy items online from meijer! They will take your money and sell your item and not tell you until you have missed all other sales!
Meijer - Grocery pickup service department
I had put an order in for Groceries on 11/22/20. The time given me was 3 to 4 pm. We waited without any communications from that department that it would be late. My husband had to call to find out if, or when, the order would be ready. If the orders are checked, they can see that I have been ordering groceries from Meijer for quite some time without any problems. Finally, I called back at around 5:45 pm to check to see when our groceries would be ready for pickup. The girl I spoke with is definitely in the wrong job to be dealing with people. I have never had any complaints about Meijer and their service until now. As a matter of fact, I am usually a very easy going person that understands when things go wrong. When you had another service doing this, I always even tipped the person 15.00 for each order as it was appreciated. However, the lady I spoke with today is just plain downright rude. I asked when she felt the order would be ready and she stated she had no idea and that they had more orders than they could handle. She was not a very nice person when she was telling me this. I then told her she was in the wrong job, that she had no idea how to talk to people. Then, quote., she stated "You didn't present yourself very well either." All I asked was a question. OK, she is having a bad day, however, there are plenty of grocery stores providing this service, that I don't feel I need to be talked down to. My orders are not small ones. Maybe you don't care if you have my business or not; I do know, for sure, she didn't care. She told me I could take my business elsewhere if that's what I wanted. I then asked her again when it would be ready and she then said, she had no idea. And, she really didn't care. Not once, did she even slightly showed she cared or offer any type of apology. If, for some reason, they are taking more orders than they can handle, I would say something is wrong with the organization of the pickup service.
