I brought in my 2021 winnebago fifth wheel to have them do warranty work on the dometic refrigerator because it always had fluctuating temperatures whenever we take it camping and they assured me that they would find the problem but the only thing they proceeded to do was run the refrigerator for 6 days and told me that it was fine without apparently checking anything else out the tech would not even call the dometic tech line for suggestions until I called dometic and then they had to call the tech and from what the tech told me he said he already checked everything that they suggested but told me that all he did was run the refrigerator for 6 days very disappointed in the whole experience and so I am going to social media to let everyone know not to do any business with this camping world sad to think that made me feel that I was a liar sad sad sad and they had no problem charging me $200.00 to do it
Desired outcome: want a competent tech and service department to fix my dometic refrigerator
Camping World - absolute rip off regarding their service department and the extended service plan
I purchase a used 2013 Motorhome and was told that they would perform a $2, 00.00 inspection to assure everything was working. When I picked it up everything seemed like it worked but some things, like the water system couldn't be checked. 4 months later I take it on the first trip and it quickly becomes a disaster. Water pump starts making a very loud noise and has no pressure at the faucets, the roof has a leak, the front windows rattled so loudly that you couldn't hear the radio. The hot water tank makes a sound like it is boiling. So I bring it back to the dealer and have them make the repairs. They tell me that goodsams service plan will not cover any of these issue. I call goodsams and am told that all of the issue fall under one or another of the exclusion. So I ask why the water system wasn't covered and am told that it was do to contamination or corrosion. Not sure what else can go wrong with a water system. Asked them what is covered and was rudely told to read my contract. So chalk one up to very poor customer service along with an absolutely worthless service plan. Camping World service called to say it was ready and it would be $ 2800.00 so go to pick it up and the bill jumps up to $ 3800.00 and when asked why was told that was what it came out to be. Of course I just wanted to get out of there before I lost my temper. When looking at the itemized bill (which wasn't given to me until I walked out the door) I noticed double and triple billing. So I will of course never do business with Camping World or GoodSams. What they don't know is that I live in a campground community with over 300 campers. And will be posting notices through out the campground about my experience at Camping World. Just doing my part to see Camping World lose more customers.
