With roughly $60-65 worth of safety equipment in hand, I asked an employee who was standing on a ladder stocking products, if they carried LED portable lighting. He got on his communicator device and called for help. After standing there a bit without anyone in sight to help, I went ahead and approached the cash registers to check out. There was a young man leaning on the counter behind the registers and we looked each other in the eye and he said nothing to me. I thought he was not a cashier. After 15 seconds or so, another employee asked if he could help me, and I told him I was ready to check out. He told the young man leaning on the counter to check me out. The young man then walked up to the cash register next to the one I was standing at as if ready for check out. I asked him what was up with letting me stand there. He said that cash register I was standing in front of was not his. I asked if he could not have told me and that he should have asked if I was ready, could I help you, or something other than standing there. He acted like he was totally taken back and very surprised. I left my merchandise on the counter and stormed out of the store. I wound up buying from a competitor.
