My transgender son has been working for Spirit Halloween this whole season, well until today. His manager told another employee that the reason she calls my son by his given name (Elizabeth) because it "pissed him off". This is the store in Grants Pass, Oregon. He was so hurt and feels so utterly disrespected that he walked out and quit. As a member of LGBTQ community, he should never be disrespected like that

One of the managers from our other location came in today and deadnamed myself and a couple other employees. When we talked to him about it he said he “didn’t care” because he didn’t have to come to our location often. He continued to try and correct employees who were using our preferred names and telling them our deadnames.
