Kroger - Two private selection 18.7 oz pizzas (onemedditerranean & one cuban ham & swiss cheese)!

To: KROGER Stores
To Whom It May Concern: I am addressing the following comment to your Foods Section, especially frozen foods. I bought two of your Private Selection pizzas (18.7oz) right before our nationwide snow storm descended here on Feb. 12, 2021, in the Northwest US, ie, Portland, Oregon, the founding site of Fred Meyer, Inc., now Kroger. Eager to try and taste your thin crust pizzas, I chose Mediterranean (Inspired) Vegetable and Cuban (inspired) Meat and Swiss Cheese. Today, amidst not being able to leave home due to snow, I baked, according to its box instructions, the former pizza, serving it with a glass of red wine.

In tasting it, I could derive but only a tiny flavor of Italian spices or sauce, no hint of real mozzarella cheese, and only a really weak suggestion of garlic, sun-ripened tomatoes, and black olives. Only char-grilled peppers and zucchini had any true olfactory and gustatory flavors and scents! Even the "Thin Crust" DID NOT emit any flavors and tastes, quite amazing, as it offered only some little sensory base of the taste and smell of a ‘cardboard' crust!

I noted on the box that it was produced in Germany. I noted it had a "Best By" Date of August 20, 2021. As a taste-conscious food person, I am sure by that "Best By" Date that this extra-nationally-produced German pizza product that is almost 100% tasteless now on February 14 — that it, this pizza would indeed have NO taste or scents by 8/20/21.

I have never had such frozen food that surely gustatorily communicated that I was eating its cardboard box, rather than a cuisine product described with nice, flowery words on its box — -conveying its "high quality!" — now twice found, to be NOT TRUE, at all, within both these Private Selection pizza products!

I am feeling duped about these pizzas' lack
of enjoyment, as food, with minimum flavors and fragrances. I easily can imagine that this poor sensory pizza food has no nutrition likewise in its bland molecular crust structure.

What has happened that one of your best "food lines" — Private Selection — is really no longer FOODSTUFF! The two pizzas in this line have transformed into something unrecognizable as FOOD! (Now that I baked and also tried the Cuban Meat & Swiss Cheese, I find it is as surely tasteless as the Mediterranean one!).

I was feeling very circumspect about attempting to eat this second pizza purchase of this Cuban Ham and Swiss Cheese pizza. It
disappointed as well as the first one I baked!
It too came from Germany!

I am very sorry that Fred Meyer-Kroger
has failed by placing this poor level of "food?" upon its shelves for us consumers attempting to maintain our nutrition needs during this Covid19 siege! I am a 79-year-old who pays close attention to the quality of my food I intake, so my body health defenses are
able to well survive, should I contract any form of Covid19.

Your store is not serving me well, with this poor quality of pizza-food!... and that shocks me... for I have continuously shopped at Fred Meyer stores since I moved to Portland in 1967. I have been mostly quite happy with this store's frozen food supplies. You must upscale these pizza products, within your frozen food products line.
Sincerely, Patricia Laufenberg

Desired outcome: Refund my money for these two pizzas
