I visited the West Hendeson Rd Kroger today and asked an employee who appears to be a manager where the salad dressings were. I addressed her as Maam in a respectful way.
She promptly corrects me that she is not a maam, but a "sir".
My response to her: I don't need a lecture on pronouns from a Kroger employee.
If you want to be addressed as sir put a sign up on your badge.
Why don't we focus on making sure items scan appropriately and ensure an efficient checkout process? Most of the time one cannot even find help at the self-checkout.
Now we are getting lectures on pronouns.
Recommendation: Rediscover your purpose Kroger!
Thank you Melanie for your customer service today at the West Henderson road Kroger at 3:00 today, February 6, 2025.
I was checking out at the self checkout and you bagged my groceries, greeted me, and thanked me.
I am not accustomed to such customer service at this Kroger.
I felt valued and cared for.
I tried to remember your name. I know it begins with an M. I hope it is Melanie.
You made my day!
