We were traveling through on 11 July 2021 around 1130 am-grabbing some food along the way. We do no longer live near a sheetz. We ordered chili cheese dogs with jalapeños. They came with banana peppers instead. Not a huge deal, however, we were charged extra for the jalapeños that we did not receive and not all of them came with the nacho cheese. Of course, we did not discover this until later. Also, while waiting in line, I could hear the employees talking. The one male employee was complaining about the customers. Unfortunately, I could not hear exactly what he said. The female employee said, "are you talking about me" and he replied, "on the customer". Also, my order did not have the sliders nor the marinara sauce I ordered. I understand human error and it was busy, but the focus of the employees seemed to be on their personal conversations rather than focusing on the orders. The girl bagging the items was so confused, she kept taking the food out of the bags and placing them in others as if she was second guessing herself. And to top it off, another customer brought her sandwich in to get corrected, and the second one they gave her was still wrong. And yes, I waited quite a bit to witness the reactions of the customers and employees. Not very professional. And yes, I have worked in customer service for many years and usually give the benefit of the doubt to the workers, but this time was not the case.
Desired outcome: A little more focus on customer service and quality especially during busy times.
