I was in the Essington store a little after 7pm, There were about 10 people in line some before me and some behind me. Someone called out to Denise to go to the register which she did. I walked over and a few of the ones in line were coming too. I but my items on the counter and she proceeded to call a few people over that were in front of me. I then was told she would not ring me up that she was taking the people that were in line. I was in the middle of the long line. I then had to get back in the other long line and go to the back and be the last person. While I was in the line a person from the deli side got in line and she waited on him. I then got to the second in line and she said she would take me and I said no that she didn't want to wait on me when I was there. she basically said I butted in line. I would never do that. The purpose of two associates at the register is to go to the register associate in their line. She was on the other side and could not see who was in the long line. She was calling customers over one at a time as they got to the other associate. Customers should have been able to go on either side like all other stores. I am always very courteous in any store.
Desired outcome: Proper customer service training and awareness of long lines.

I sympathize with your plight. Unfortunately, Wawa no longer hires quality people. I have noticed service has gone way down since covid. No one wants to go back to work -- and the people they hire -- are the few available. They are scraping the bottom of the barrel.
What this means is that the staff is very unprofessional. I have encountered this at Wawas too. They play favorites, gossip about customers in front of other customers, behave like wild hooligans, etc. They even sabotage and harass customers they don't like -- and not liking you could be for many reasons -- they don't like the car you drive, you come in to the store too often, you are polite and respectful, and they are losers, you remind them of someone they had a fight with, etc.
Has nothing to do with you. You could be the rudest, most obnoxious customer out there and professionalism would require them to treat you with absolute respect and courtesy -- each time...and not to intentionally allow others to cut in front of you because they are unable to regulate their own emotions or check their personal biases.
Just chalk this up to the declining state of America and stupidity/rudeness of Wawa staff -- and then cook at home to save yourself money and spare yourself the grief.
